Hi,

The G8 summit in Germany [1] is less than a week away! There's a lot happening already, and definitely much more the closer we get to the date. A huge amount of material is produced everyday (and will be produced in the first weeks of june), but the language barrier often makes it difficult for people to be more active within IMC on this global scale. And this is where translators play a vital role. So, if you could spare any amount of time, we desperately need your help! Possibly you won't be able to come to Germany - helping out with translations might be a way for you to do an important work supporting the resistance against capitalist globalisation.

We desperately need people to coordinate the translation work!

If you're willing to help out, here are some options:

- Subscribe to the general translation list [2] which will be used to coordinate the translations before, around, and after the summit.

- Subscribe to the translation list(s) of your language(s) [3].

- Subscribe to the lists imc-g8 (en) [4], imc-g8-2007 (de) [5], and/or the g8-mediaactivism list [6] for more general information on the media work going on around the summit (Don't forget that these are public lists! If you don't want your mail to be archived publicly, contact imc-g8@lists.so36.net).

- Have a look at our wiki pages [7] (far from complete), especially the translation section [8] to stay up to date on what's planned.

- Find us on IRC: irc.indymedia.org #g8 and/or #g8-translation (to learn how to use IRC, see [9]).

- Come to Rostock and help us at the Media Centre! [10]

Hi,

Bis zum G8 ist es nicht mal mehr ein Monat! Vieles läuft schon, und definitiv viel mehr, je näher wir dem Datum kommen. Täglich wird viel Material produziert, aber oft macht es die Sprachbarierre Menschen schwer, auf dieser globalen Ebene innerhalb von IMC aktiver zu sein. Und hier spielen ÜbersetzerInnen eine Schlüsselrolle. Also, wenn du egal wie viel Zeit übrig hast, wir brauchen dringend deine Hilfe!

Ciao, manca meno di una settimana al summit del G8 in Germania![1] Stanno succedendo già diverse cose, e altre succederanno man mano che ci avviciniamo a quella data. Un grande quantitativo di materiali viene prodotto ogni giorno (e verrà prodotto nelle prime settimane di giugno), ma la barriera delle lingue rende spesso difficili le attività delle persone coinvolte negli IMC su scala globale. Ed è qui che i traduttori giocano un ruolo vitale. Così, se hai a disposizione del tempo (poco o tanto che sia), abbiamo un disperato bisogno del tuo aiuto! Se non puoi venire in Germania - l'aiuto a scrivere traduzioni potrebbe essere un importante lavoro per supportare attivamente la resistenza contro la globalizzazione capitalista.

Olá,

Falta menos de uma semana para a Cúpula do G8 na Alemanha[1]! Já há muita coisa acontecendo, e definitivamente muito mais a cada dia que chegamos mais perto da data de início. Uma grande quantidade de materiais é produzida a cada dia (e será produzida nas primeiras semanas de junho), mas a barreira linguística frequentemente dificulta as pessoas de serem mais ativas dentro do CMI na escala global. E é aí onde os tradutores têm um papel vital. Então, se você puder gastar qualquer tempo, nós precisamos desesperadamente da sua ajuda! Possivelmente você não poderá vir pra Alemanha - ajudar nas traduções pode ser uma forma de fazer um trabalho importante apoiando a resistência contra a globalização capitalista.

Precisamos desesperadamente de pessoas para coordenar o trabalho de tradução!
